Surviving an EF2 Tornado in Your Car A Thrilling Tale of Survival!

Jeanicmar Rangel was driving in her car in Lake Mary, Florida, near Orlando, when an EF2 tornado hit on Monday. Rangel captured the storm on video as it swept over her car, hurling debris, bending trees, and battering her car with heavy rain and wind. In the footage, Rangel can be heard repeatedly exclaiming “Oh my God” in Spanish. She later described the experience as “horrible” to reporter Carlos Moreno.

The tornado struck at approximately 9:30 a.m., with winds reaching up to 120 mph. The storm caused a tractor-trailer to overturn in Lake Mary and demolished a home in Longwood, as reported by News 6. Fortunately, the driver and his dog in the truck emerged unscathed, as did the two individuals inside the collapsed home in Longwood.

Multiple other residences in the area sustained damage, with downed trees and scattered debris. Following the storm’s departure, Rangel documented the destruction surrounding her vehicle, showing debris strewn across the neighborhood, fallen branches, and wreckage from homes littering the area.
