Surprising Decision Predators Sticking with Head Coach Andrew Brunette!

The Nashville Predators have announced that head coach Andrew Brunette will continue to lead the team, as confirmed by general manager Barry Trotz on Monday. Trotz expressed his confidence in Brunette, citing him as a promising young coach despite the team’s disappointing performance in the 2024-25 season.

Trotz acknowledged the challenges faced by Brunette and the team, emphasizing the importance of supporting and sticking with talented individuals during tough times. The Predators struggled to a 30-44-8 record in the latest season, despite adding notable free agents like Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault, and defenseman Brady Skjei.

This downturn followed a successful 2023-24 season where the Predators reached the playoffs with a 47-30-5 record. Brunette, aged 51, has previously coached the Florida Panthers and led the Predators to a 128-92-19 record. He was also a finalist for the prestigious Jack Adams Award in 2024.

Brunette had a productive playing career, accumulating 733 points in 1,110 games across various NHL teams, including the Washington Capitals, Atlanta Thrashers, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, and Chicago Blackhawks.
