Police responded to an incident on Knoll Close in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield, where a man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a fight. Authorities were alerted at 20:36 BST on Saturday about a brawl involving a large group of individuals on Knoll Close, with one person reportedly wielding a knife. A 34-year-old man was apprehended at the scene and taken to the hospital in critical condition. A 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in custody for questioning. The area including Knoll Close, Wheatacre Road, and Ellorslie Drive has been cordoned off for investigation, along with a section of Victoria Road. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles stated, “Our investigation is in its early stages, and we are diligently working to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.” Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
