Steelers Stand Firm on Keeping TJ Watt Amid Trade Interest!

According to ESPN, multiple teams have been inquiring about the availability of Pittsburgh Steelers’ standout T.J. Watt following his absence from mandatory minicamp. However, reports from ESPN and NFL Network indicate that the Steelers are determined to retain Watt in Pittsburgh. The 30-year-old edge rusher is in the final year of his current contract and is seeking an extension before the 2025 season begins. Despite trade speculation fueled by recent blockbuster deals in the league, the Steelers have made it clear that they intend for Watt to finish his career with the team. Watt’s impressive performance in 2024, including 11.5 sacks and a Pro Bowl selection, further solidifies his importance to the Steelers. As of now, Watt is set to earn $21.05 million in 2025.
