An alarming road rage incident recently occurred in Philadelphia, where a man opened fire on two individuals, aged 15 and 20. The unidentified male, believed to be between 40 and 45 years old, was driving a silver 2016 or 2017 Honda Civic at the intersection of 42nd and Girard Ave, as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department.
The incident escalated into a shooting event when the man, involved in what authorities termed a “road rage” situation, fired shots at the two victims, who were in another vehicle. The 15-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound in the left arm, while the 20-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to her chest.
Both victims were taken to different medical centers for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition. No arrests have been made in connection to the case, and no weapons have been recovered as of now.
Authorities have released surveillance footage showing the man involved in the incident. One video clip captures the man leaning out of his car window, seemingly engaging with a black vehicle beside him. In another angle, the man is seen firing a gun from his vehicle at a stoplight before speeding away.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as having specific identifying features, including body damage to both front quarter panels, a missing passenger side front hub cap, and a white vanity tag on the front bumper.
