Celebrities Mingle at ‘Oh, Mary!’ Broadway Musical
A star-studded event took place at the hit Broadway musical ‘Oh, Mary!’ on March 8, 2025, with renowned actors Meryl Streep, Martin Short, Jennifer Lopez, and Brett Goldstein gracing the audience. Lopez, 55, and Goldstein, 44, were there to support lead actress Betty Gilpin, with whom they co-star in an upcoming Netflix movie, ‘Office Romance.’ Longtime friends Streep, 75, and Short, 74, enjoyed a night out together.
The musical shared a video on Instagram featuring the Hollywood stars interacting with the cast, captioned, “Deep and crisp with Meryl Streep, JLo, Martin Short, Brett Goldstein, and the cast of OH, MARY!” In the clip, the group is seen posing for a photo with the cast, with Streep and Gilpin sharing a warm embrace, and Short smiling in the background.
Lopez, elegantly attired in an off-white suit and her hair styled in a claw clip, posted about the event on her Instagram Stories, using the hashtag ‘Office Romance.’ She later shared additional photos with the cast.
‘Oh, Mary!’ portrays the story of a troubled Mary Todd Lincoln in the lead-up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination in 1865. Directed by Sam Pinkleton, the show is running at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City. Gilpin, who joined the cast on Jan. 21 for her Broadway debut, will conclude her limited engagement on March 16. Following her run, Tituss Burgess will take over the role until April 6, and then Cole Escola will return to the part on April 8.
Streep and Short’s attendance at ‘Oh, Mary!’ follows their joint appearance at Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary concert special on Feb. 14, where Streep humorously gestured with her middle finger, prompting laughs from Short and the audience.
