Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, who previously co-starred in “Speed,” are set to reunite for a romantic thriller currently in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Plot details remain confidential, but the studio promises a story that is fast-paced and gripping. Screenwriter Noah Oppenheim, known for his work on “Jackie” and “Zero Day,” is attached to the project.
The film, which is still untitled, will be produced by Bullock’s Fortis Films, Reeves, Mark Gordon, Bibby Dunn of The Mark Gordon Company, and Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner of Prologue Entertainment. The idea for the project was brought to Reeves and Bullock by Gordon and Oppenheim, with whom they have previously collaborated.
Reeves, most recently seen in and as an executive producer on “John Wick: Chapter 4,” and reprising his role as Neo in “The Matrix Resurrections,” is represented by WME, Range Media Partners, and Scott Sims. Bullock, who has starred in and produced projects such as “The Lost City,” “The Unforgivable,” and “Bird Box,” is represented by CAA, Cliff Gilbert-Lurie, and Logan Clare.
Mark Gordon Pictures, known for producing a wide range of successful films and television series, is currently working on Greta Gerwig’s “Narnia” film for Netflix. Prologue Entertainment, founded by Lloyd Braun, Bremner, and Oppenheim, is partnered with Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital to create high-quality scripted series and films.
