Slow-Motion Chase Felon Stuns Cops with 4-Hour Pursuit at 7 mph!

Early Tuesday morning, a police chase in Tennessee unfolded at a remarkably slow pace as a group of law enforcement vehicles trailed a fleeing suspect. The pursuit, captured on video by Fox17, showcased the unusual sight of the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Katlyn Wray, driving at speeds as low as 7 mph on deserted highways in Nashville. Despite the blaring sirens and flashing lights of the pursuing police cars, Wray continued her leisurely escape.

When officers eventually caught up with Wray and inquired why she didn’t stop, she reportedly replied, “I’m already on probation for ten years anyway.” The chase began around 3 a.m. when Metro Nashville Police officers discovered Wray asleep at the wheel of a stolen Nissan Altima. Upon being approached by four officers, Wray abruptly woke up, reversed the vehicle, and fled the scene.

Despite attempts by law enforcement to halt her progress with spike strips, which punctured her tires, Wray persisted in driving on the flat tires for nearly four hours. The pursuit maintained its sluggish pace, with speeds ranging from 7 to 15 mph, while police helicopters monitored the situation from above. Due to department policy restrictions, Metro police refrained from utilizing a PIT maneuver to stop Wray and instead called in the Tennessee Highway Patrol to execute the tactic.

After a protracted four-hour chase, Wray was eventually apprehended and taken into custody. She now faces charges including vehicle theft, reckless endangerment, and felony evading arrest. Wray’s criminal record includes prior convictions for offenses such as aggravated burglary, drug possession, forgery, and theft across Tennessee.
