“New Jersey Teacher’s Troubling Actions: 25,000 Messages, Allegations of Molestation”
A New Jersey special education teacher is accused of engaging in disturbing behavior, allegedly exchanging more than 25,000 text messages with a middle school boy whom she is accused of sexually assaulting. According to a seven-count indictment, Allison Havemann-Niedrach of Freehold Intermediate School sent thousands of messages to the 15-year-old victim, beginning when the reported abuse started in early 2024 and continuing until her arrest in June. Havemann-Niedrach came under investigation in June after concerns were raised by the school’s vice principal about her relationship with the eighth-grader, following reports of inappropriate physical contact and flirting witnessed by another teacher. Despite the victim initially claiming to be in a relationship with Havemann-Niedrach’s daughter when questioned by authorities, evidence from text messages on his phone contradicted his statements. Havemann-Niedrach now faces multiple charges including aggravated sexual assault, child endangerment, official misconduct, and sexual assault. She has been on home confinement since posting bail after her initial arrest and is yet to have a court date scheduled. Havemann-Niedrach, a mother of two, began working at Freehold Intermediate in 2022. Efforts to reach her and her attorney for comment have been unsuccessful.
