“Woman Accused of Murder-For-Hire Plot in Tinder Love Triangle”
Authorities have charged a 26-year-old woman from South Jersey with attempting to hire a man she met on Tinder to kill her ex-boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his teenage daughter. Jaclyn Diiorio was arrested on April 4, 2025, for allegedly offering a confidential informant $12,000 to carry out the murders, as announced by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in a news release on April 8, 2025. The criminal complaint reveals that Diiorio, using the alias D., connected with the informant on the Tinder dating app and arranged a meeting at a Wawa in Runnemede, New Jersey on March 31, 2025. Over the next few days, they had multiple conversations where Diiorio expressed her desire to see her ex-boyfriend, identified as a Philadelphia police officer, dead. The major crimes unit of the county prosecutor’s office was alerted to the murder-for-hire scheme on April 3, 2025, leading to Diiorio’s arrest the following day. The informant disclosed that Diiorio was insistent on carrying out the plan and offered to pay $12,000, with an initial $500 installment. The arrest took place at a Dollar General in Glendora, where Diiorio handed over the first payment and was subsequently taken into custody by Gloucester Township police. Along with the attempted murder charges, she also faces allegations of drug possession. Diiorio remains in custody pending a court hearing scheduled for April 9, 2025. Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact Detective Ryan Durham of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (856) 225-5127.
