Police and prosecutors announced on Wednesday that the two individuals who tragically lost their lives in a shooting incident at a mechanical engineering company in south-western Germany were actually siblings, being brothers. This distressing event occurred in the town of Bad Friedrichshall, situated approximately 100 kilometers south of Frankfurt, on Tuesday. Regrettably, one person remains in critical condition as a result of this attack.
The perpetrator, identified as a 52-year-old German national and an employee at the company in question, was said to be a member of a shooting club and possessed a valid permit for the firearm utilized in the assault, according to the authorities. The devastating incident unfolded when a masked individual entered the company’s premises in the early evening and callously opened fire, fatally striking two brothers aged 49 and 44.
Following an extensive manhunt, the suspected perpetrator was apprehended in the town of Seckach.
