Shocking Inspection Results 4 Escambia County Restaurants Under Fire!

Here is a summary of recent restaurant inspections in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties for the week of Jan. 6-12. In Florida, restaurant owners are not obligated to display inspection results for guests to see. Therefore, we provide this information weekly. In the most recent inspections by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, one restaurant received an administrative complaint, three had high priority violations, and 25 passed their initial inspections with zero violations. – Follow-up: Four total violations, with one high-priority violation involving a stop sale due to food not meeting quality standards.

– Inspection: Complaint Inspection on Jan. 7
– Follow-up: One violation, with a high-priority issue regarding dishmachine sanitizer strength.

– Follow-up: Two total violations requiring further review.

One high-priority violation was identified during the inspection at Chelle’s Soulfood on Tha Go, located at 405 E Gonzalez Street. The violation involved raw animal foods not being properly separated from each other in the holding unit according to the minimum required cooking temperature. Specifically, shell eggs were observed over beef. However, the operator took immediate corrective action by moving the eggs to the bottom shelf during the inspection, resulting in the violation being **Corrected On-Site**.
