A man was hospitalized following a severe assault at his residence in Londonderry. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) received a report that a group of men wearing balaclavas forcibly entered a home in Creevagh Heights at around 10:15 PM GMT on Saturday. The man, in his 30s, sustained non life-threatening injuries to his leg, head, and hands and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Detective Inspector Hanbidge remarked on the brutality of the attack, stating that the man will suffer both physical and mental wounds that may never fully heal. The police are urging anyone with information or video footage of the incident to come forward.
