A woman in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found fatally stabbed in his home. The body of William McNicholl, 63, known as Billy, was discovered at a property in Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich, on 1 January. A post-mortem examination revealed that the primary cause of death was a single stab wound, coupled with head injuries.
Suffolk Police disclosed that the woman was taken into custody earlier on suspicion of murder and remains detained. Mr. McNicholl, who resided alone, was last seen on 23 December, according to information provided by the police force.
