A man, 33 years old, who was taken into custody on suspicion of the murder of a man in Dungannon last week, has been granted bail pending further investigations. The victim, who was in his 70s, was discovered with severe injuries after an attack at a flat in the Corrainey Park neighborhood last Thursday evening. Emergency services responded to the incident at the Lisnahull Estate, but the man tragically passed away at the scene. Two men in their 30s and a 27-year-old woman, who were also apprehended over the weekend in connection with the murder, are currently being held in custody. The victim was believed to be originally from Poland, but authorities stated that he had been residing in the Dungannon area for over two decades. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed on Friday that they are treating the man’s death as a murder case. Superintendent Peter Stevenson stated that the victim “was discovered seriously injured on the living room floor of the residence.” On the same evening, a vigil was attended by over 100 individuals near the apartment block where the deceased man resided. Vigil held for murdered pensioner in Dungannon.
