Maverick, a beautiful Golden Retriever service dog, recently had the opportunity to spend a day at the Magic Kingdom, and it was as wonderful as you can imagine. One of the most heartwarming moments in the video is when Maverick receives belly rubs and scratches from Stitch, showcasing pure cuteness overload. Maverick, being a good boy, even picked out a Simba stuffed animal as a souvenir.
Disneyland welcomes service dogs to accompany their owners throughout the park, with certain guidelines in place. Service dogs must be leashed or in a harness, and if there are areas where service dogs are not allowed, cast members can offer alternative options or portable kennels. The park suggests identifying service dogs with vests or harnesses, but they do not require documentation.
The Instagram user who shared Maverick’s adventure noted that he wears a service animal vest but is given breaks to enjoy himself. While it’s generally discouraged to pet service dogs, owners can make exceptions, as Maverick’s owner did at Disneyland.
