Secret Revealed! Meghan Trainor’s Struggle with Body Image!

Meghan Trainor had been contemplating breast augmentation surgery for some time before finally deciding to go through with it. The 31-year-old Grammy winner has openly shared her struggles with body insecurities, particularly regarding her breasts, which she felt were “saggy” and lopsided. Despite her success, these insecurities only grew, especially after going through weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and C-sections.

After dealing with the discomfort of using duct tape to lift her breasts, Trainor felt it was time to make a change. She underwent breast augmentation surgery in early 2025, opting for the FDA-approved Motiva SmoothSilk Ergonomix 290 Mini implants. According to her plastic surgeon, Dr. Payman Danielpour, the procedure was a straightforward one with minimal downtime and pain.

Trainor’s decision didn’t come as a surprise to her family, who understood that it was something she had always wanted. The singer expressed her happiness with the results, feeling that her breasts now finally feel natural and like her own. While she received support and praise from many fans for her honesty and transparency, some criticized her for seemingly contradicting her past message of body positivity in her music.

Trainor, however, explained that her journey towards self-acceptance and confidence is an ongoing process, and that writing songs about it has been a form of therapy for her. She believes that being open about her struggles and decisions, including the choice to undergo plastic surgery, is a way of embracing her true self.

“My therapist suggested rewiring my brain,” she explains. “My confidence soared as I faced uncomfortable situations, like donning bold outfits and performing on stage, singing about my vulnerabilities while the audience sang along.”Prioritizing self-love, especially for the sake of her children (sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 19 months), has become a central focus in her life. “I never want my kids to hear me criticize my body because I don’t want them to adopt that behavior,” she shares. Her therapist was thrilled when she opted for breast augmentation surgery. “We should encourage women as they make changes for themselves, rather than questioning their decisions,” she remarks. “This was all about me. I wanted this for myself, not for anyone else. I aim to feel confident in my appearance and proudly own my choices.”At a portrait session during the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden on December 13, 2024, singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor expressed her desire to support individuals contemplating cosmetic surgery as a trusted confidante. Trainor, having experienced unique challenges with two pregnancies and C-sections, found solace in opening up about her body-related struggles and realizing she was not alone. Connecting with others who shared similar postpartum experiences significantly boosted her well-being and helped normalize her feelings. While Trainor advocates for thorough consultations with board-certified surgeons for those considering cosmetic enhancements, she extends her support to fellow mothers navigating similar journeys. “If you’re feeling isolated in your decision-making process,” she offers, “I’m here for you as a friend to provide reassurance that this choice can be empowering.”
