The University of Georgia student, who belongs to the Alpha Chi sorority, was charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling by campus police. These new charges come just two weeks after she was initially arrested for speeding, a charge that was later dismissed. Stewart, known for her glamorous mugshot that went viral, was released from detention after posting a bond exceeding $4,000. Her lawyer, Stephen Morris, declined to comment on the new charges, but did confirm the dismissal of the speeding charge from her first arrest. Stewart gained online fame for her initial mugshot, with social media users making light-hearted comments about her arrest. She explained that her flawless appearance in the photo was due to getting ready for a friend’s birthday party just before being stopped by police.
