ROWI Storms Threaten PGA’s Players Championship Final Day!

The PGA Players Championship kicks off this week in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with players vying for the $25 million prize. FOX Weather’s Risk of Weather Impact (ROWI) predicts minimal weather effects on the tournament.

Morning tee-offs will experience temperatures in the low 50s, with high humidity causing dew formation on the course. The dew may affect fairway shots and slow down ball movement on the greens. As temperatures rise after 8 a.m., dew will dissipate, returning conditions to normal with a high of 76 degrees.

Friday also shows low weather impact risk, starting at 60 degrees with little chance of dew formation. A stray shower is unlikely to disrupt play, although winds may pick up in the afternoon, affecting longer shots.

Day three presents a medium risk due to humid air and morning dew. Temperatures will begin in the low 60s and rise to around 80 degrees, with winds increasing later in the day.

Sunday poses a medium risk of rain impacting the tournament, with a 50% chance of storms in the afternoon or evening. Any delay may shift the final day to Monday, altering the weather impact risk accordingly.

Overall, FOX Weather anticipates minimal interference from weather conditions during the tournament.
