Romantic Sky Proposal Pilot Pops the Question with 2-Hour Flight Path!

A pilot recently pushed the boundaries of love by proposing to his girlfriend of two years, Taylor Burcham, in a unique and romantic way. Terry Williamson orchestrated a special flight plan using his Bonanza P-35 plane, flying over Pratt, Kansas to spell out “Will you marry me Taylor?” in cursive letters. Williamson shared that the experience was challenging and physically demanding due to the maneuvers required to create the message in the sky. Despite the difficulty, he found it incredibly rewarding.

Inspired by air proposals he had seen before, Williamson wanted to make his proposal stand out. Burcham, who was monitoring the flight radar at her coffee shop job as she often does while Williamson is flying, was surprised and touched by the grand gesture. Both partners share a love for aviation, with Burcham expressing the significance of flying in their relationship.

The flight path proposal took about two hours at an altitude of 7,500 feet, showcasing Williamson’s dedication to making the moment unforgettable. Burcham said “yes” to the proposal, and although they haven’t set a wedding date yet, they expressed their desire for a small wedding with an aviation theme.
