Yella Beezy, the Dallas rapper whose real name is Markies Conway, has been arrested and charged in connection with the 2020 murder of fellow rapper Mo3. He arrived at Shaq’s Fun House at Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami, Florida on January 31, 2020, before facing indictment by a Dallas County grand jury on Tuesday, March 18. The indictment was for the death of Mo3, whose real name is Melvin Noble. Yella Beezy was arrested on Thursday, March 20, on a charge of capital murder while remuneration.
It is believed that Conway may have hired Kewon White to kill Mo3 in exchange for payment. Mo3 was fatally shot on Interstate 35 in Dallas in November 2020. White and another man, Devin Brown, have also been indicted in connection with the murder, with their cases pending.
Yella Beezy is currently held on a $2 million bond in the Dallas County Jail. The rapper has previously faced charges including unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana, which were later dismissed. He was also arrested in 2021 on charges of sexual assault and child endangerment, which were also dismissed.
Yella Beezy is best known for his songs “That’s On Me” and “Bacc At It Again.” He most recently released the track “Hit” featuring Lil Wayne in 2024. The case involving Mo3’s murder is still ongoing, with authorities continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
