Pokemon Card Fight Leads to Man Being Stabbed with Glass Shards!

In a bizarre turn of events, a California man found himself in a sticky situation on Saturday, July 5, after a scuffle over Pokémon cards spiraled out of control. According to a quirky statement from the Colma Police Department, chaos ensued at a local GameStop store around 9:20 a.m. when a brawl erupted. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a man sporting a few too many cuts and stab wounds, painting a dramatic scene.

The injured man was whisked away to a hospital with life-threatening wounds, but hey presto, he miraculously pulled through and is now chillin’ in stable condition, as per the cops. Colma, nestled just 11 miles south of San Francisco, became the stage for this peculiar showdown.

The plot thickened as two suspects bolted the scene in separate getaway cars, only to be nabbed by the long arm of the law later that day. The duo, identified as 27-year-old Isaiah Calles and 49-year-old Miguel Orellanas-Flores, were brought to justice posthaste.

The wild tale goes on to reveal that the Pokémon card scuffle was the spark that ignited the stabbing saga, with Orellanas-Flores and the victim locking horns after a dispute over line-cutting. Things took a dangerous turn when Orellanas-Flores reportedly clonked the victim on the noggin with a glass jar, prompting the other fella to unleash a flurry of glassy stabs.

Both gents were slapped with a laundry list of charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, serious bodily harm, and even a sprinkle of conspiracy for good measure, before being tossed into the slammer. Their first date with the judge is set for Tuesday, July 8, per online records.

Despite the whirlwind of events, no legal eagles have swooped in to represent the pair just yet. Fernando Cervantes Jr., the storyteller behind this saga, can be reached at fernando.cervantes@gannett.com or stalked on X @fern_cerv_.
