NYC Teens Caught in Subway Train Joyride Drama!

Two teenage boys were arrested on Monday for allegedly taking an empty subway train on a joyride over a week ago in Brooklyn, according to law enforcement sources. The teens, aged 15 and 17, were apprehended separately based on warrants after being reported by someone in connection to the incident that occurred on January 25 on an R train at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park. The younger boy was found at James Madison High School in Midwood, while the whereabouts of the older teen were not disclosed. Charges were pending against both teenagers. New footage released by the NYPD shows the faces of the backpack-wearing subway joyriders for the first time. The reckless group initiated their late-night joyride at the 36th Street station. The boys, part of a group of six troublemaking teens, were captured after the NYPD shared new footage of them within the station, revealing their identities. Despite attempting to obscure the security camera lenses with black marker, the thrill-seeking kids were recorded and later posted the footage on Instagram. The daring crew, wearing backpacks, reached speeds of around 30 mph during the escapade. It was reported that at least part of their journey took place on active train lines, though it remains unclear how far they traveled before abandoning the train. Four other suspects involved in the incident were still at large as of Monday.
