Police have arrested and charged Shannon Nicole Womack, 39, for allegedly impersonating four nurses from other states and using around 20 aliases since 2020. Womack faces 43 counts, including endangering the welfare of a care-dependent person, identity theft, forgery, and falsely pretending to hold a license. Additionally, she is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Womack was apprehended on Monday and provided false identification during a routine traffic stop in April. An investigation revealed that she had multiple aliases and Social Security numbers. Authorities found various forms of identification, prescription medications, medical documents, and equipment in her possession. Womack posed as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, and registered nurse supervisor at various healthcare facilities in Pennsylvania. She secured these positions through staffing agencies by submitting fraudulent documents and creating a false LLC to self-deploy to multiple jobs. Police believe the deception began in 2020 and spanned across several states on the eastern side of the country. Womack’s bail is set at $250,000, and her next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
