In the Northeast, this weekend’s forecast may feel like déjà vu. With more rain and thunderstorms on the horizon, it marks the sixth out of the past seven weekends with precipitation in the forecast.
As an area of low pressure inches closer from the southwest on Saturday, the FOX Forecast Center anticipates shower and thunderstorm activity mostly concentrated across the interior. Meanwhile, areas along the Interstate 95 corridor can expect dry conditions with temperatures climbing into the summer-like 80s. However, this pleasant spell will be short-lived as daytime heating sets the stage for thunderstorms to develop by late afternoon, advancing towards major cities by the evening.
Oklahoma City stands out for its unpredictable weather patterns, ranking at the top of the list for the most ever-changing weather among the 50 most populous U.S. cities, as noted by Tideschart’s analysis.
