A daring bank heist was recently unveiled by a mysterious woman, as she wielded a water gun disguised as a real pistol to carry out her scheme. The audacious incident took place in July at the TD Bank on Route 206 in Princeton, New Jersey, where the woman, identified as Ciara Brascom, managed to abscond with a total of $60,500. Disguised with a COVID mask, red glasses, and a blue hat, Brascom covertly brought the modified water gun with her to the bank, concealing it in her pocket until the opportune moment. Upon reaching the teller station around 2 p.m., she brandished the fake firearm, demanding money with a note that ominously warned of using the gun if the bank’s alarm was triggered. Subsequently, Brascom coerced a teller to escort her to the bank’s vault, from where she seized the cash before swiftly fleeing the scene. Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement authorities were able to identify and charge Brascom in September, after she met with federal agents in Princeton and reportedly confessed that financial difficulties had driven her to commit the robbery. In her admission, she disclosed that she had intended to purchase a realistic-looking toy gun for the heist but settled for water pistols and black spray paint to create the illusion of an authentic firearm. The consequences of her actions are severe, as she now faces the possibility of a 20-year prison sentence and a hefty fine of $250,000 if convicted.
