Nikki Glaser was a standout during her 2025 Golden Globes monologue, but it turns out there were plenty of jokes that didn’t make the final cut. Nikki shared some of these unused jokes during a recent interview with Howard Stern, as reported by Page Six.
Rather than opting for a roast, Nikki decided to take a more positive approach. She explained, “Am I gonna roast or am I gonna toast? You know what? I’m not roasting. I’m gonna toast. And I just did all these toasts that were roasts.” One of the jokes that didn’t make it to the stage involved actor Ben Affleck, with Nikki quipping, “Here’s to Ben Affleck, I can’t wait to see which Jennifer you try to ruin next.” She clarified her intention, saying, “Oh, I didn’t say ruin them. I said he tried to ruin them so it’s not against them.” Reflecting on the omitted joke, she remarked, “But I was like, ‘That would have been insane.'”
Among the other jokes that didn’t make the final monologue was one aimed at actor Glen Powell, who was nominated for his role in “Hit Man.” Nikki joked, “Who would have thought that by the end of the year, you’d only be the second hottest hit man in America.” She also praised the show “Only Murders in the Building” and its seasoned cast, humorously noting, “And it just goes to show you, you are never too old to still need money.” Nikki also warned against engaging in battles with Jake Paul, asking, “Why are you still working so hard? Did you get caught up in Hawk Tuah girl’s crypto scheme?”
Additionally, Nikki had a joke lined up for the film “The Wild Robot,” teasing, “The Wild Robot is nominated tonight. And by that, I mean Nicole Kidman after two white wines.” Despite not making the final cut, these jokes showcase Nikki’s sharp wit and humorous take on the entertainment industry.
One of the jokes that did make it to the Golden Globes stage was the one targeting Ben Affleck. This joke highlighted Nikki’s comedic style and ability to deliver punchy one-liners with a hint of sarcasm.
