Nicole Kidman was honoured at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France on 18 May, where she received Kering’s 10th Women in Motion Award.
When she was chatting with Angelique Jackson from Variety, Kidman talked about how she comes up with ideas for her work. She said that she sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night to write down things she has dreamt or thought about. Even though she writes in the evening, Kidman said that she doesn’t plan to write any projects with other people right now, but she might change her mind in the future.
The actress, who wore black to the event, later changed into a red lace gown to receive her award. Some of the women who have previously won the Women in Motion Award include Jane Fonda, Geena Davis, and Salma Hayek Pinault. Kidman, who did not have a movie premiere at Cannes this year, will next be seen in the sequel to “Practical Magic” alongside Sandra Bullock. This will be released in cinemas on 18 September 2026.
