New Information Revealed in Case of Missing Teen Madalina Cojocari

Madalina Cojocari, who will turn 13 next month, has been missing for almost three years without a trace. Recently unsealed search warrants shed light on new details surrounding her disappearance. The warrants reveal allegations that Madalina’s mother and stepfather burned her belongings, paid a substantial amount to a priest in Moldova, and informed Madalina’s grandmother about a significant sum of hidden cash.

Although Diana Cojocari and Christopher Palmiter were arrested shortly after Madalina disappeared, they have since served their time and are now free. Diana has returned to Moldova, leaving her daughter still missing.

One warrant, seeking access to the family home, mentioned Detective J.J. Sarver observing evidence of a fire pit in the backyard and learning from Palmiter that Madalina’s personal items had been burned. Another warrant, tied to financial transactions, revealed that Diana made payments to a priest in Moldova and mentioned hiding a large bag of cash.

Despite these revelations, neither Diana nor Palmiter provided information about Madalina’s whereabouts. Madalina was last seen exiting her school bus on November 22, 2022, but search efforts did not begin until three weeks later due to Diana’s delay in addressing her daughter’s truancy.

Subsequently, Diana and Palmiter faced charges for failing to report the disappearance of a child. Palmiter was convicted of this charge and received probation, while Diana pleaded guilty and was credited for time served.
