In a video message, Jordan expressed his excitement about reuniting with NBC and the NBA, reminiscing about the significant role NBC played during his time leading the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. Although the specifics of Jordan’s role have not been revealed, he conveyed his enthusiasm for being part of the project and looks forward to the NBA’s return to NBC this October. NBC Sports President Rick Cordella praised Jordan’s unparalleled legacy on and off the court, welcoming him to their coverage team. Additionally, in a nod to nostalgia, the NBA will reintroduce the iconic theme song “Roundball Rock” by John Tesh.
