NBA Inside Stuff Revival in the Works!

In 1993, hosts Ahmad Rashad and Willow Bay were in the studio in Secaucus, New Jersey. The NBA is making preparations to revive its beloved show “NBA Inside Stuff.” Recently, the league submitted trademark applications for the show’s name, which had aired on various networks, notably NBC and ABC from 1990 to 2006. NBC is contemplating a refreshed version of the program as they are set to broadcast live NBA games once more next season. Although a decision about the show’s renewal has not been finalized, sources shared that NBC is considering the possibility. The NBA has not provided an official comment at this time. The trademark filings signify the league’s intention to utilize the “NBA Inside Stuff” name for a television show and branded merchandise. Trademark attorney Josh Gerben noted that the show’s return could be in the form of a digital platform like YouTube or TikTok. The NBA’s intellectual property is seen as a valuable asset, with potential licensing opportunities with media partners. NBC’s interest in reviving nostalgic elements, as seen with discussions about the “Roundball Rock” song, aligns with the broader media landscape as the NBA prepares for a new media rights deal.
