A 66-year-old MTA worker was reportedly assaulted in an unprovoked attack while she was on duty at a Manhattan subway platform on Friday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials. Following the attack, the victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem for medical treatment. In response to this disturbing incident, the city has announced plans to deploy two police officers on each subway car during overnight hours starting on Monday.
