Reports from various news sources have unveiled a disturbing incident involving an Arizona mother who was convicted of a heinous crime. Yui Inoue was found guilty of first-degree murder, child abuse, and disorderly conduct in connection with the tragic deaths of her two young children, Mia Inoue, aged 9, and Kai Inoue, aged 7. The unsettling details of this case were revealed during Inoue’s trial at Maricopa County Court.
The 44-year-old mother chose not to be present in court when the verdict was announced, as she had waived her right to attend the proceedings. Prosecutors presented evidence suggesting that Inoue committed the unspeakable act of taking her own children’s lives as an act of vengeance against her husband following a contentious argument over financial matters amidst their divorce.
On a fateful day in May 2021, the husband, after leaving their home, contacted Tempe police to report the situation. Upon police arrival, initial observations indicated no significant damage in the apartment, and the children were apparently asleep. However, later that same day, a horrifying discovery was made when authorities returned to the residence. Inoue had driven to a Tempe Police Department substation and confessed to an officer that she had heard voices instructing her to kill her children.
