Mothers’ Day Miracle Kentucky’s 1673M Jackpot Winners Revealed!

A mother-son pair from Kentucky, known for their regular lottery play, have come forward as the winners of the largest Powerball jackpot in the state. They revealed their intention to use the prize money to pay off their debts. James Shannon Farthing purchased a $2 Powerball ticket from Clark’s Pump N Shop in Georgetown, KY, and won the $167.3 million jackpot from the April 26 drawing. Farthing, a loyal customer at the store, was informed of his newfound fortune by his mother, Linda Grizzle. They plan to split the winnings, which could be received as either $167.3 million in 30 installments or a lump sum of $77.3 million. The duo intends to consult with a financial advisor to make the best decision for their family. This win ends a 16-year drought in Kentucky for Powerball jackpot winners, with the last one being in 2010. Clark’s Pump N Shop will also receive a reward for selling the winning ticket. The Powerball jackpot now resets to $20 million for the upcoming drawing on May 3, with an estimated total of $44 million.
