Jonathan Hoang, a 21-year-old man with autism who disappeared from his Washington home, may have been spotted on a doorbell camera 40 miles away from where he vanished. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office previously reported that Hoang was last seen in Arlington on Sunday, March 30. However, his family believes he was recently captured on security camera footage in Kirkland. They have asked for the community’s help in sharing this information.
Hoang left his home early in the morning on March 31 without his cell phone or jacket but took his Wi-Fi-only iPad. Despite extensive search efforts involving volunteers, ground teams, K-9 units, drones, and helicopters, no trace of him was found, and the search was eventually suspended. The sheriff’s office mentioned that Hoang, who is high functioning, takes public transit with his job coach and has been preparing for employment in Everett.
Hoang’s family expressed concerns about his ability to navigate back home due to his challenges with problem-solving and stress. They have initiated their search efforts and set up a GoFundMe page to support their ongoing search. Anyone with information about Hoang’s whereabouts is urged to contact 911.
