Miraculous Reunion Lost Cat in Palisades Fire Finds Mom!

The devastating Palisades Wildfire tore through Los Angeles in January, leaving a trail of destruction reminiscent of the Lahaina Wildfire of 2023. It stands as the most ruinous wildfire in Los Angeles’ history, with victims still being identified. Thousands of homes were destroyed, tens of thousands of residents were displaced, and over two dozen lives were lost. Amid the tragedy, tales of hope and healing emerge, such as the heartwarming reunion between a survivor of the Palisades Fire and her beloved cat, Aggie.

When Carolyn Kiefer’s mother had to evacuate during the chaos, Aggie went missing. After two anxious months of waiting, the Westside Animal Shelter reached out to inform them that Aggie had been found alive. Somehow, Aggie had survived the fire and waited near the ruins for her family to return. Los Angeles Animal Services located her and facilitated a tearful reunion.

Although Aggie is on the road to recovery, she still requires treatment for starvation and low red blood cell count. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover her veterinary expenses. Let’s come together to support Aggie’s healing journey and alleviate the financial burden on the Kiefer family as they rebuild their lives.
