Michael Schumacher’s Signature on Helmet Worn by F1 Champ Jackie Stewart at Charity Event!

In Sakhir, Bahrain, Formula 1 champion Jackie Stewart showcased one of his title-winning cars for charity before the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday. Stewart donned a helmet adorned with the signatures of all living Formula 1 champions, including Michael Schumacher, who has not been seen in public since sustaining severe head injuries in a skiing accident in 2013. Details about Schumacher’s condition have been scarce.

According to Stewart, Schumacher signed the helmet with assistance from his wife Corinna. Stewart expressed gratitude for Schumacher’s participation in this fundraising initiative, stating that it was meaningful given the lack of a cure for the disease. The 85-year-old Stewart, a three-time F1 champion, drove his 1973 championship-winning Tyrrell car to raise awareness for the Race Against Dementia charity, which he established to support research on potential treatments for the illness. Stewart’s dedication to this cause is fueled by his personal experience caring for his wife Helen, who is battling dementia.

Stewart emphasized his fervent desire to find a cure for dementia, recognizing the challenges faced by those affected by the disease. He shared that his wife requires specialized care and has recently struggled to recognize him.
