Melissa McCarthy’s Epic ‘SNL’ Parking Lot Showdown!

In the end, Short suggested that if Day refused to heed his advice, perhaps his wife, played by Melissa McCarthy, could persuade him. Although Day was initially unable to spot Short’s wife, McCarthy swiftly made her presence known by pounding on the passenger side window. “Drive away immediately, or I will harm you right now,” she menacingly warned the father-daughter duo. “And I’ll force your naive daughter to watch.”

As the threats escalated, McCarthy paused momentarily to take a sip of iced coffee before forcefully spitting it out onto the window. Day and Fineman struggled to stifle their amusement as McCarthy used her chest to wipe away the beverage from the window, intermittently fixing her gaze on them before repeating the action. She even licked a streak clean off the window at one point, to better observe the duo before retreating.

This marked the tipping point in the dispute, leading Day to ultimately concede the parking spot to Short, who appeared elated by the victory. Melissa McCarthy was unwavering in her determination to secure the spot.

However, McCarthy was not the sole celebrity to make a cameo in the latest episode. The show commenced with a star-studded cold open that showcased Short’s induction into the esteemed Five-Timers Club. The skit featured numerous club members, such as Tom Hanks, Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone, and John Mulaney. While Jimmy Fallon, not a club member, presented Short with an honorary purple velvet jacket, Colin Jost attempted to enter alongside his wife, Johansson, only to be rejected as she opted to join the festivities, closing the door on him.

Rudd made multiple appearances throughout the evening, including in sketches like the “Sábado Gigante Christmas Special” alongside Marcello Hernández, and as himself in the “Christmas Airport Parade.” In one skit, McCarthy portrayed a gate agent, while Hanks assumed the role of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, a nod to the 2016 film “Sully.”
