Meet the ‘Floral Grandparents’ at the Wedding!

“Enigmatic Elderly Couple Steals Show at Wedding”
When the Baylisses arrive at an emotional moment, they share a heartfelt embrace as the ceremony unfolds. In a viral wedding video, the grandparents and the bride have an emotional first look. Plunkett revealed to “Good Morning America” that she and the guests were completely unaware of the Baylisses’ plan to play the role of “floral grandparents.”
Describing the scene, the 27-year-old London resident shared that there were many tears shed. Jenny Bayliss, 80, and Brian Bayliss, 82, were the stars of the show.
Leading up to their wedding last July, Plunkett and Peirce decided to involve Peirce’s grandparents in a special way. With no children present during the day, they came up with the idea for the Baylisses to play the roles of “floral grandparents.” The elderly couple was thrilled and felt honored to be part of the celebration.
In a heartwarming moment, the 83-year-old grandmother stole the show as the flower girl at her granddaughter’s wedding. Reflecting on the experience, Plunkett shared that the Baylisses were overjoyed to be part of the ceremony, especially witnessing George’s emotional reaction.
Following the unexpected virality of her TikTok video, Plunkett expressed gratitude for the messages she received from people sharing their own wedding stories and memories. She emphasized that George’s close bond with his grandparents made their participation even more meaningful.
Encouraging other grandparents to seize the opportunity to be part of their grandchildren’s wedding, the Baylisses wholeheartedly endorse the idea. The couple’s endearing role as “floral grandparents” at the wedding has captured the hearts of many.
