Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is set to continue his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. According to USA TODAY Sports’ Tyler Dragon, Brown has agreed to a one-year contract worth potentially up to $11 million for the 2025 season. This marks the second consecutive one-year deal for the 28-year-old veteran, who missed most of the 2024 season due to a sternoclavicular injury but returned to play in the latter part of the regular season and postseason. Despite limited playing time, Brown contributed with nine catches for 91 yards in the regular season and five receptions for 50 yards in the playoffs. The Chiefs’ decision to retain Brown comes amidst news of fellow wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s arrest for assault. The team is currently investigating the situation. Kansas City finished the previous season with a 15-2 record and reached Super Bowl 59, ultimately losing to the Eagles. As they prepare for the upcoming NFL draft with the 31st overall pick, securing Brown’s presence adds depth to their receiving corps.
