Colorado State, ranked No. 12, will face off against Maryland in a game scheduled for 7:10 p.m. on TBS. Despite uncertainty surrounding Terrapins coach Kevin Willard’s future, the team’s performance against Grand Canyon was unaffected. The Rams will have to contend with the size of freshman standout Derik Queen. Maryland boasts a deep roster with five double-digit scorers. Meanwhile, Colorado State enters the game on an 11-game win streak, including a Mountain West tournament victory. In another matchup at 7:45 p.m. on truTV, No. 3 Iowa State will take on No. 6 Mississippi. The Cyclones managed a strong showing in the first round without second-leading scorer Keshon Gilbert.
