Man in Virginia Accused of Killing Teen TikTok Prankster!

Authorities and a search warrant obtained by USA TODAY reveal that a Virginia teenager was allegedly shot and killed by a homeowner while filming TikTok prank videos with friends. The incident occurred during a reported residential burglary in progress at 3 a.m. on May 3. The homeowner, Tyler Chase Butler, 27, is accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old Michael Bosworth Jr. while they were filming a “ding dong ditch” prank for TikTok. Butler was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and other crimes. Bosworth succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, while a juvenile and another individual sustained injuries. Bosworth’s friends explained to police that they were unfamiliar with the neighborhood and were shot at while attempting to flee after knocking on a door. The tragic event has prompted grief and support from the community, including Massaponax High School, where Bosworth was a senior. Principal William Lancaster offered counseling and condolences to the family during this challenging time.
