A 24-year-old male has been apprehended in connection to two fires associated with a persistent gang conflict in Edinburgh. The fires occurred on Albert Street and Milton Road East on March 6 and March 16, respectively. Additionally, a separate arson attack on a residence in the Niddrie neighborhood of the city took place on Friday, along with two instances of gunfire in Niddrie Marischal Crescent and West Pilton Bank last month, all tied to gang-related violence. The individual has been arrested for charges of deliberate arson and possession of a stolen vehicle. He is set to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday. Detective Superintendent Paul Grainger stated, “I want to assure the community that our investigation is ongoing, and further arrests will follow in the weeks ahead. If you have any information that might aid our inquiry, please come forward.” The attack on the house is believed to be connected to the gang feud in Edinburgh, with rival groups reportedly involved in shootings within the city.
