Man Arrested for Attacking Bride-to-Be at Dallas Bachelorette Party

A man has been taken into custody for violently assaulting a woman who was enjoying her bachelorette weekend in Dallas. Canada Rinaldi, 27, was in Texas with friends when an unfamiliar man attacked her in the early hours of March 23, according to the Dallas Police Department. The suspect, identified as Trevon Woodards, was apprehended by the Bedford Police Department in the suburbs outside Dallas on Friday.

Rinaldi, who had traveled from Oklahoma for her bachelorette celebration, now faces injuries including a concussion, a broken nose, three fractured teeth, and eight stitches on her face. Kelly Peralta, an aunt of Rinaldi’s fiancé, described the incident as they were leaving a club and heading towards an Uber when the assailant struck them unexpectedly.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for Rinaldi to help with her medical expenses, which have surpassed $10,000. The fundraising effort has raised nearly $20,000 so far. Woodards, who had a prior felony assault charge in 2021, was reported to remain in custody as of Sunday with no updates on legal representation.
