MAGA Victory Rally Ends with Village People’s ‘Y.M.C.A.’ Dance!

Donald Trump celebrated his victory in the 2024 Presidential election by joining the Village People as their seventh member. The incoming 47th president, known for using the band’s songs at his rallies, performed with them at the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally.” Trump danced to their classic hit “Y.M.C.A.” alongside new members Javier Perez, James Lee, J.J. Lippold, James Kwong, and Nicholas Manelick, as well as Victor Willis, the original member and de facto leader. Despite some backlash, Willis defended the band’s performance, emphasizing that music should transcend politics. He also clarified that their appearance was not an endorsement of the President Elect’s policies. The band believes in sharing music across the political spectrum but acknowledged that they may not have been invited to perform had their preferred candidate, Kamala Harris, won. Other performers at the rally included Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Liberty University’s choir. Carrie Underwood is set to headline the inaugural events with a performance of “America the Beautiful” alongside the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Country music star John Smith has graciously agreed to perform at the upcoming presidential inauguration following an invitation from President Trump.
