Lawyer Stanley Woodward Joins Trump Administration!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former President Donald Trump has appointed attorney Stanley Woodward to his White House legal team. Woodward, known for his defense of several top aides and associates of the former president, as well as individuals charged in connection with the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack, will serve as an assistant to the president and a senior counselor.

In a statement released by Trump’s transition team, it was announced that Woodward would work closely with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Trump had previously named David Warrington as his top lawyer leading the White House legal team, replacing his initial choice of William McGinley, who opted to join an external group led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Woodward, based in Washington, has a history of representing various individuals within Trump’s inner circle, such as adviser Dan Scavino, trade adviser Peter Navarro, and aide Walt Nauta. Additionally, he has provided legal counsel for defendants facing charges related to the January 6 Capitol breach, including Oath Keeper Kelly Meggs.

Trump also confirmed the return of three assistants from his previous White House term: Robert Gabriel, Nicholas Luna, and William “Beau” Harrison.

Trump is set to assume office on January 20, as outlined in the statement.
