Las Vegas Residents Risk It All to Rescue Kitten Trapped on Overpass!

“Las Vegas Locals Come Together to Rescue Kitten Stranded on Overpass”

Residents of Las Vegas joined forces to save a stranded kitten from a highway overpass. The kitten, later named Little Helix, had been stuck on the railing of the overpass for over three weeks before being rescued. Nathalie from the animal welfare organization Amor Peludo shared the story on Facebook, mentioning how the community came together to help. Lizzie Fuchs, whose father is the president and CEO of Helix Electric, played a key role in the rescue mission.

With the assistance of Helix Electric’s equipment and coordination, Lizzie and Nathalie managed to rescue the kitten using an elevating work platform. The company, based in Nevada, is now honored to have the young feline named after them. The heartwarming rescue brought the neighborhood together, with locals expressing relief and joy at Little Helix’s safety.

After being saved, Little Helix received care at Boca Park Animal Hospital under Dr. Morgan Spaulding’s watchful eye. Despite being dehydrated and thin, the kitten is described as a tough survivor by the vet. The focus now is on finding Little Helix a loving forever home and possibly locating his mother and siblings in the area. The rescue story showcases the power of community and compassion for animals in need.
