Knife attack at a festival in Germany: 3 dead

It was announced that at least 3 people died in a knife attack at an event in Solingen, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. “There is currently a larger police operation at the 650th anniversary celebration of the city of Solingen. There are many dead and injured in the knife attack. Please stay away from the city center of Solinger. So far an unknown perpetrator has attacked several people with a knife. According to current information, three people are dead and four people are seriously injured.” Solingen Mayor Tim Kurzbach said, “Tonight all of us in Solingen are shocked, horrified and deeply saddened. We all wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our city together and now we have to mourn the dead and injured.”
