Kesha shared her beauty regimen involving a popular salmon sperm skin treatment during an episode of the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast on July 8. The Grammy-nominated singer discussed her connection with her mother, career, and disclosed her skincare routine on the show. Kesha revealed that she has tried the viral procedure, describing it as a Korean beauty trick that she uses to maintain her skin’s appearance.
During the conversation with host Monica Lewinsky, Kesha mentioned how her mother kept her placenta after birth, leading her to have a necklace containing it. Lewinsky discussed how some individuals in the UK and France store placenta for energy and youthful skin. Kesha then disclosed that she has tried the salmon DNA facial treatment, which involves injecting Rejuran (salmon milt DNA) and hyaluronic acid under the skin to enhance elasticity, reduce fine lines, hydrate the skin, improve healing, shrink pores, and stimulate collagen production.
Kesha isn’t the only celebrity to talk openly about utilizing the salmon sperm procedure for skincare. Miley Cyrus and the Kardashian sisters, Kim and Khloé, have also shared their experiences with this beauty treatment. Cyrus mentioned trying the mask, while the Kardashians discussed incorporating salmon sperm into their skincare routines on their reality show. Kesha emphasized the effectiveness of the treatment, attributing her radiant skin to the salmon sperm facial.
The family was filming their promos for the Hulu show, with Kesha photographed by Kevin Winter/Getty on September 12, 2024 in Hollywood, California. The procedure gained attention in August 2023, when Jennifer Aniston revealed in an interview with WSJ. Magazine that she had tried salmon sperm facials by an aesthetician. Aniston was initially surprised and asked, “Are you serious? How do you get salmon sperm?” A few months later, Aniston, 56, discussed the results of the skincare treatment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Oct. 3. She clarified that the process was not about extracting sperm from a salmon, but rather about the benefits for the skin. Aniston humorously commented, “But don’t I look like a salmon? Don’t I have beautiful salmon skin?” For more details, you can refer to the original article on People.
