Julia Stiles’ Slimy Pool Table Dance in Down to You Shocks Fans!

Actors Julia Stiles and Freddie Prinze Jr. starred in the movie ‘Down to You’, which Stiles now considers one of the worst films ever made, even though she was a part of it. During an episode of the podcast ‘Films to be Buried With’ hosted by Brett Goldstein, Stiles mentioned that the 2000 romcom was marred by poor execution. She explained that initially, the script was promising, but things took a turn when Harvey Weinstein became involved.

Stiles described ‘Down to You’ as a typical romantic comedy from the Y2K era with a notable soundtrack and a star-studded cast. She recalled feeling uncomfortable about a scene where she had to dance on a pool table because it seemed like a forced attempt to replicate the success of her previous dance scenes in other movies.

Reflecting on the film’s troubled production, Stiles highlighted Weinstein’s influence in steering the movie towards a more commercial and upbeat tone, deviating from the director’s original vision. Despite the challenges faced during filming, Stiles continued her career, appearing in various Miramax films before the company’s eventual sale and Weinstein’s subsequent legal troubles.
